Back to school winners

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2019 Back to School contest. The final 2 deserving teachers won $250 to help with supplies for their classrooms. At Portable Services, we believe lifting up the teacher who are making a difference in kids lives is important. We are thrilled to highlight these hard working, caring teachers from our area. Thank you to all who nominated a teacher, our decision was a difficult one. Our teachers in the CSRA area are the best!

Our Next Winner

Susan Arrington at Warren Road Elementary School

Winners all women

One of Susan’s students, Chloe, had these kind words to say about her, “Mrs. Arrington volunteers in the lunchroom in the mornings and that really shows how much she is willing to help when she can. She is the ACE (Gifted) teacher at my school and she is very sweet and great at thinking of ways to teach us in ways a normal teacher never could. In summary, Mrs. Arrington is the best teacher I could ask for and I do believe she deserves this award because she works so hard.” Susan was also nominated by Chloe’s mom, Jessica Jones. Thank you both for nominating Susan and thank you Susan for all the love you put into teaching our children.

Our Final Winner

Dana Hadden at North Columbia Elementary.

Winners 1 guy

Dana’s husband Dj nominated her.

“I see firsthand the hours she works at home late at night and on weekends, preparing the kids lessons or grading papers. Teaching is a natural fit for her, she is nurturing teacher that gets the best out of her students. There is not better way to tell the impact a teacher has on students lives then when you are out in public and the kids come running to you to say hey and ask for a hug. Her current kids and kids from the past act like she is a movie star when they see her. Her impact on her student lives academically and socially is her driving force, some kids are not as fortunate as others and she loves to be that shining light or breath of fresh air for that child.”

Thank you, Dana, all you do to teach our children.

Thank You to all who took part in this year’s Back to School Contest.  Support our teachers  throughout the year!
